Brief Description:  Test exterior lighting and more

I first installed the wing tips. I have enough slack to lay the wing tip on a bar stool near the wing end and connect up the nav lights as pre planned. Then swing tip into position and install a handful of #6 screws. Dont need them all in at this time.

I then got a battery and hooked it up to the main buss. and enegized the main battery switch and then went thru the lights one at a time.

Yay! It all works!! I tested the landing lght and taxi lght and found I had the switches reversed. I can switch the lables or adjust the two wires at the switches. no biggy.

I then tested the nav and strobe lights. All work as required. Including the tail light and strobe. Yes, they all flash in unison so that means my sync wire is corrcet too.

I then tested my pich electric trim. it works too. But I have my aileron and pitch indicator lighs reversed. Will need to switch them. Making a note on the to do list

Tested the Stall warning. It works too well! It is way too loud in head set and I will need to find a seperate way to control the volume. The Stall warner pwr disconect works too.

I tested the "wig wag" switch. The landing light and taxi light flash as expected. There is a slight delay in the HID light since it requires the ballast to charge and keep up with the standard fillement bulb on the other side. So the two will get out of sync slowly but that doesnt matter as the flashing is what gets the desired alert and notice. The wig wag is disabled beforen rounding out anyway.

The only thing I have not checked yet is the auto pilot servos. I need to pull airplane out of hangar some so that GPS gets a good signal before I test that. Id like to have floor access panel removed too.

So far so good!
