Brief Description:  Sanding prep for primer

Sometime last early last year I think was the last time I did any epoxy sanding on the rudder caps.
I dug it out and sure enough I had epoxy runs and drips requiring sanding. I did that and I think for the most part its ready for couple coats of sanding primer to be applied.
The rudder top cap was lower than the trailing edge of the VS cap and attempts were made to build that aup to match and then re round the curvature to match the VS. I temp installed the rudder again to check. It looks ok as far as hight. I need to fill a couple pited areas and even out a gap but thats aout it. I probably should take out the eye bolts and ensure I have enough threads protruding thru the plate nut inside spar because I had made adjustments in and out on them to get and even gapbetween the rudder and vs gaps. To do this, Ill measure with a gauge from the aft spar surface thru to the plate nut exit edge and transfer to each eyebolt plus two threads extra distance as the absolute min the bolt can be screwed in. I then will be abe to determine id=f where I had mine set Is greater than the min insertion required. That will be tomorrow I hope.
