Brief Description: Install HS and elevators-Final assembly
Today I thought it was time to install the tail for the final time before first flight I hope. I had to dig it and the plans out and then all the hardware. Reviewed the install and started. I had forgotten how difficult the HS attach bolts and nuts were to get to! Got it Installed with Brendas help and her smaller hands. Torqued all the AN3 harware to 25 inch lbs and the AN4 harware to 60. I then applied Torque seal to all
Installed the Trim flap and Hdrilled a 1/16 hole to safety the Hinge pin from coming out. I might end up redoing the hinge pin so that it has a longer tail to safety in. But this is good for now
Installed the Servo motor connecting rod and clevis and adjusted close to what I though I had it at before. Used my drill 12v battery to run the motor and got the trim flap centered in trail. Installed the cotter pins but did not bend them yet
The rest of the time was spent cleaning up tools and I cleaned the Canopy and wind screen with plexi polish. Things are looking good sofar
