Brief Description: Clean and polish canopy center slide rail
No pics 2/3 today Removed the canopy from the fuselage. Cleaned the tape residue from the center slide rail with MEK. This is a mess and I discourage the use of the brown packing tape ever being used. It does not remove without seperating from the adhesive base and is like removeing pure gum. Takes forever to remove. Once cleaned off, I sanded the rail with several grades of wet dry paper ending with 1000 grit. Then I tried polishing it with drill and buff wheel and jewelers rouse. Finally ened with hand applied and buffed polish that seems to do just as well.
