Brief Description: Windscreen-4 masking off and prep for fairing
Brenda started off by cutting 6 inch strips of glasscloth in withs from 1/2" to 1.5 " in 1/4" steps.
I removed the masking tape from windscreen because I needed to put the electrical tape on for the fiberglass faring lines. I made a measure stick of 3/4 inch and marked the screen and then applied red tape followed by black and then the blue everywhere else.
Removed the masking for glare shield and temp install screen.
Made a 4" circle per plans and where the radius hits the aluminum skin is where I mead the ref marks.
Applied some electrical tape to skin and then scuff sanded the skin with 60 grit paper real good.
Also sanded all the shine off the windscreen where the fairing will be epoxied
The last step is to finish the screws and spacers. Drilled last hole on each side of screen bottom and then cs and tapped the roll bar. I then started on right side and losse install each screw and added spacers as needed to keep screen flush with canopy. I have one problem hole that I think will be best to just fill and re drill and tap new hole about 1/2 away. It wont bee visible and will be better than trying to make the other one work. Ill sleep on it some
fairing edge taped off and sanded with 60 grit
