Brief Description:  Firmware update try-2 and wiring redo.

Wasnt sure what heading to enter this days work under so miscelaneous will have to do for now.
I had downloaded the serial-Usb adapter drive and firmware update that should have my new fuel and oil pressure transducers on it so that I can set the Dynon EMS up correctly from the Dynon webb site. Not To be!!! I tried redownloading the driver many times and each time I hooked into the serial plug from EMS , I got msg that the driver wasnt found. Not sure how to proceed other than somehow stay connected to the internet and try. My hangar neighbor has a hot spot deal that he offered. I may take hiom up on the offer and se if staying connected does anything.
Then I swapped wires on the oil pressure/hobbs meter switch. hat worked. Now when you turn on the master switch the red low oil psi light illuminates and hobbs off until engine start and oil psi reaches 15 PSI. Same deal on shut down. Light comes on when psi drops below 15 and reminds to shut off master switch.

Now for the big time eater today.... I screwed up big! In my haste I hooked battery leads up in reverse and fried the wire from master switch to the battery relay activation lug. I saw the thing flame up. Cooked the tefzil coating off and burned thru the 18AWG wire in no time. I realy do not like that smell now!!! never do I want to smell that again!!!
Well. I inspected this wire and about 18 inches aft it looked good. Wrong!!! But I didnt know better and I spliced a new wire in at that point with a butt connector and all the other bells and wistles. When done I hooked up battery again correctly this time and gues what?? you guessed it -Smoke!! This time further aft by the rt gear tower. Looked bad and I was beside myself. Long story short. I did the following:
Removed things in the way of wire in question to include the intercom and ignition switch and some static lines behind panel.
Removed all the zip ties and one adel clamp on wire bundles.
Removed the switch console and cover from switch CB's and master switch.
Removed the wire from switch to
