Brief Description: Drill the right upper cowl hinge. Nose nut plates

1. Counter sink 12 rivit holes in the inside nose area of cowling for the three K1000-8 nut plates. Installed the nut plates with an426ad3-4 rivits. 2 Measued distance from top of bottom cowl edge to the middle of the upper hinge half and then installed the upper cowl again. 3. Transfered the upper hinge mid point tot he upper cowl. Marked where the rivit holes need to be. Centerpunched and drilled each to #40 and cleco. 4. Drilled exit hole in outside cowl in nose for the hinge pin to exit. Pin secure method is undecided at this point.

K1000-8 nutplates installed on bottom cowl. Top secured to bottom with truss screws

Right side cowl horizontal hinge all drilled up

Cowl halves hinge pin exit hole drilled
