Brief Description: Left side upper cowl hinge drilled
Marked center line on upper cowl hinges and installed with the hinge pin to bottom. Measured the distance form the lower hinge half drilled holes to the upper one. Reinstalled the cowl with hinge pins installed in firewall. Transfered measurements to uper cowl and center punched drill locations
Started at front where i could reach in and hold hinge tight against the inside of cowl and drilled and then clecoed working my way aft.
Since Im having trouble now getting the right side firewall hinge pin in, I decided to delay doing the right side for now. Instead, I removed the upper cowl and the hinge just drilled and deburred the holes.
Heated the hinge pins for firewall with propane torch and made some bends at handle ends.
