Removed the wooden disc and temp install the alum prop spacer and spinner bulkhead. I did this to check the gap space is what I had measured for. Its about 1/16 inch smaller gap than planned but is at the min required at 3/16. Im sure I can get another 1/16 from sanding of cowl front and also the spinner bulkhead edge.
I then two lengths of .032 aluminum for spacer shims to go betwen the cowl and the cowl hinge. Clamped in position on the cowl top after removing the 47 clecos and then match drilled the strips.
Removed all the clecos again and deburred the holes and then sanded both sides of the strips. I wanted one side roughed up for possible adhesion to the cowl with epoxy later.
Ran sanding block along the upper cowl aft edge again for bit more gap
Removed another 47 clecos from the hinge haves on the frirewall to remove hinge and debur the holes.
Shims cut and match drilled to removed upper cowl
Upper cowl shims removed and deburred and finished
