loosely installed some hoses and fittings today. I can tighten up snug when everything looks like its finalized OP35 shows the parts and installation for the fuel hoses I first installed the fuel overflow fitting finger tight and then tightened 1 1/2 more turns per instruction Added plastic tuve to the overflow and then safety wired Installed the KB-045 fitting to the fuel pump left side and attached pre fab hose. Other end goes to the carburator. Installed the KB-090 fitting to right side of fuel pump. Installed restrictor fitting to it and then the braided fuel pressure line from the manifold Other attach point of KB-090 is attached the hose from the gascolator. Note: I will most likely be adding my red cube flow meter between the gascolator and the fuel pump. dont know if this hose will be too long after I do. The KB fitting int the fuel pump are not tapered and so they have rubber o ring that is compressed from another nutabove a washer.
Note#2- The KB-045 fitting would not clear the prop govenor housing on back of engine. To get the necessary clearence, I took my die grinder and grinding stone and beveled the edge of the govenor housing that was in the way. Polished it up and then installed the fitting. The area grinded away can be sen in pic 1 to left of the fitting and just right of a small allen head screw plug. This whole housing might be removed anyway as I dont think I need it since I removed the oil return line for it and will not be using constant speed prop.If I dont need it on the engine, It will be harder to remove now that I have engine mounted. Might be easier to just plug the oil port plug.
