Located the oil pressure switch and then the instructions for wiring it up. I first couldnt find the instructions so I was using a lamp and a battery to figure out what each terminal of the switch is for. The instructions were found and then I could confirm what I was doing and then label the switch terminals for NO NC and C.
Cut the ground wire from Red oil presure warning light from where I had it connected to ground and then spliced on a length of 22 AWG wire and then ran forward to the pressure switch but left for connection later
Figured out which tab on the hobbs meter is ground so that the meter will run up instead of down and verified with mock hook up. I then ran a 22 AWG wire from the ground forward to the Oil pressure switch to connect to the NO tab ( the light hooks to the NC tab) The C tab goes to ground. What this does is allows the light to shine when power is applied via the master switch and then turns off when oil pressure hits 15 PSI at which time the light goes out and the hobbs meter turns on. This will also alert me to when the engine shuts down and thus psi drops and light comes on to remind me to turn off master switch.
Ran a power lead 20AWG from the instrument Power buss taht is on when master is on and thus will power the hobss and warning light when master is on before and during start. I just made a Y connection to both the light and hobbs from the single attach point.
This Completes the behind the panel wiring other than trouble shooting anything that comes up on my next power check later
Olilpressure switch installed and wiring figured out
Wired the Hobbs meter and warning light to the pressure switch and power supply
