Started off the day thinking Id get this left gear leg all torqued up in a fraction of time I spent on the right and it started off that way untill I started removing more screws for ease of acces in the tower. After about and hour we started to torque the obd gear harware when I noticed that the gap between the wear plate and the bracket was realy uneven. I meseed with this by loosening everyting and trying to start again. after two attemps I loosened the inb harware too. No change. I then ran my 3/8 reemer thru the aft obd NAS boly hole. It went thru easily but did smoothe the hoile up enough to allow the bolt to fit a bit more loosely. I think it was binding on the wear plate hole and I fixed that with the reamer I think. The next attemopt was much better! Started with both bolts and nuts tightened untill the washer wouldnt slip and then started to torque in 5 in lb increments up to about 150 and then started doing 12 in lb incremets to the plan specified 240. Resultant gap not as wide as other side but at 0.042 is still above the required .030 min gap.
I then reinstalled all the hardware removed on both sides and re torqued the remaining gear hardwarfe taht was loosened. A couple of screws I had removed easily took an hour to get back in!! I wont be removing them ever again I hope!!
