Dug out my 4 boxes of lord mounts and the bolt set and then tried to figure out how the mounts are oriented. It appears the top two are opposite of the bottom two. I also noted that the bottom two bolts are a tad longer to accomodate an extra washer on each mount. This has to do with even compression on themounts with 1 g force. What I cant figure out is why the lord mounts are a different part number than listed on the plans. That in itself takes time and I gave up. Ill have to call. What I have is pictured below and in the catalog is what is standard for the o-360 engine and dynafocal type 1 mount. I did get the mounts loosely in place but just that. Dont plan on hanging engine anytime real soon. Besides...the engine hasnt arrived yet!
up date.. Just got off phone with Joe at vans. I have the correct mounts. He cant seem to explain why the plans show a differnt number other than part numbers change and were not reflected in the 1997 drawing! The drawing however is important for orientation of the mounts and has not changed.
