Brief Description: Prep and rivit the canopy front bow
Countersunk the front canopy bow rivit holes for the csasq aluminum rivits with aluminum mandrels as called out in drwg. I know that the counersink cutter isnt the best tool for the job but its all I have. I did try to smooth each counter sink with a dremmel tapered grinding stone. Did that lightly because too much might change the angle of the cs and might cause strain wher the rivit sits. dont know I the installed the rivits. The canopy didnt sit as tight as before so I used some nylon washers for spacers to keep waves out when riviting in place. I have one rivit hole thats aproblem and probably needed a washer spacer too. I wonder if I can drill it out ok? Will see... Whent back with a center punch and lightly tapped the center mandrel pins backsince most were cut off above the rivithead for some reason. Theese will need to be filled with epoxy to keep water out .
Countersinking for the rivits and checking with the rivit for flush fit
Rivits installed-no cracks
See the nylon washer? Had some gaps appear that werent there on initial fit. Something shifted .
