Brief Description: Resistors added to wig wag flasher
I had previously installed a wig wag flasher unit and associated wiring. Test using sealed beam lamps from auto store proved it worked. According to B&C where I purchased the flasher, their wireing diagram showed a 75 ohm 2 watt resistor spliced in and then ran to a ground. This was done for each lamp and only required if using low voltage led lights and or HID lamps. Im using a regu;ar lamp for taxi and HID for landing and original assumed they would work. Idecided to wire in the resistor to both sides as the wires exit the flasher. I figure it will work the same regardless of the lamp with added bennifit that if a lamp burns out, the flasher would still flash with resistor there. This does not affect the wiring to the non flash mode of lights anyway. After I reinstall the wiring back to the console plate, Ill test again with regular bulbs and if that works I will disconnect one bulb to see if flashing still occurs on the other. If it does we are good to go.
