Broke the skirts away from the canopy frame. The electrical tape worked but I shoud have either gone all the way around the tubes with it or simply used wax paper. The epoxy always seems to attach itself in unwanted places and this made getting the skirts to let go of the steel tubes difficult in spots.
Sanded down the fillets high spots and edges. Masked off around the fillets and after making some micro, I blended in the fillets for slope to skirt feathering. Will see how that turns out after another cure. Its working out better than I thought it would.
I also prepared another batch of micro for two fiberglass tips and used some of it to apply thin film along edges of the skirts again and to build up some low spots.
