Brief Description: HS and Elevator tip gaps improved
Revisited the horizontal stabilizer and elevator tips and their gap. I wasnt happy with it and so today I worked on improving it.
1. Removed the two hrizontal stab tips and sanded doown on belt sander. Also sanded down the elevator tips. Cleaned up the edges so that they are slightly rounded.
2. Did some file work on the metal step to be flush with the tips now that I sanded them ack. Re did the radius in corners with appropriate sanding smooth etc.
3. The right side HS tip was the worst and when sanded for enough clearence, The result was some voids along the tip edge. So to fix, I applied more micr to the outside and will re sand to fit when cured. I also applied micro along the seam inside the tip to build up strength that was lost from sanding surface. Hope this works.
I will clean surfaces with super fill after iget glas applied to the seams
