Brief Description:  front stick grip repair attempt 1

The trigger (ptt) was not working and I am to blame since I never checked continuity before installing the grip. After isolating the problem to the grip wiring, I separated the grip handle halves exsposong the wiring inside and found the wire for the PTT switch was not connected to the tang on the circuit button. I soldeke the grip apart and that fixed the problem. Yay!
BUT... in the process of separating the grip halves, I broke one of the button switches and was unable to repair it. Double Dang!! I called Tosten manufacturing and explained why I had to to take the grip apart and then what happened. They were very nice and told me to return it and they would fix it for me. Yay! But now I have to undo all the wiring to remove...UN YAY!!
I decided to just take my wire cutters and chop the whole harness about six inches from the exit hole from the stick. My thinking is I can attach it all back with d-sub pins on fwd side of spar chanel and then I have easy way to remove the grip or stick in the future w/o too much trouble.
I got stick grip removed and boxed up for shipping back to Carlsbad, California and when it comes back Ill have easy time reinstalling.....I hope!
I prepped the wire harness left over from the big chop by pulling back the snake skin and stripping all 11 wires and crimping on d sub pin barrels to all wires in preperqation for reinstall next week.
