Brief Description:  prep wires for soldering to headphone and mic jack

Impromptu visit to hangar after work so noi pics until later.
I need to get the Gib phone jack wiring up from below baggage floor to the jacks installed in the seat back bulkhead. To do this, I drilled hole 7/16 in the longeron where the baggage comp rivits to in one of the rivit holes in close proximity to the jacks. Installed plastic snap bushing. Instead of doing same in the baggage floor lip i elected to drill it large enough to fit around the bushing and also cut slit from edge into the hole to allow the wires to be permantely soldered to the jacks and allow me to install the baggage floor with rivits later w/o problems from the wires.

I decided to not use the switches for the mono/stereo select that I installed because I most likely wont use mono oly headsets and thus need them. Im also not real sure of how to wire them in. So this solves the problem. To hide the 1/4 inch hole from the switch, I will install a plastic 1/4 inch plug purchased from home depot. This will be painted grey first.

I didnt have the wire diagram with me for the phone jacks so all I could do was cut off enough of the sheathing and pull the 4 wires through the metal mesh shielding and then strip each wire back 1/4 inch for soldering later. Did this for the two jacks front and back. The shielding is most likely left open on the jack end. I decided to twist the pig tail and fold over and then cover with shrink tube. That way if I find out later that I need to ground it, I can remove the shrink tube and do so.

The last thing today was deciding on acceptable route for the aux stereo input jack wires to travel forward. I first though thru the apron skirt but then since im not sure about installing the apron panel permanately yet I found that when Its installed there is a gap at the longeron where a slit is cut in the apron. Plenty of room to run the wire there with some anti chafe and possibly some amazing goop after final install. This idea will alow me to solder those wires to the jack as well.
