Brief Description:  Acs ignition switch back plate-1

1. After realizing much later that I had drilled the hole in my panel for the ACS ignition switch incorrectly, I came up with a solution.... BTW, Do not just measure the key barrel and drill the corresponding hole to 7/8 like I did. There needs to be a "key" to keep the switch barrel form turning in the hole! Thats what happens when there isnt any mounting instructions!!!

2. Plan is to make a plate that I can flush rivit to back of panel. This plate is about 1/2 the thickness of the panel but should work fine. I took the face plate that has the key tab too and traced it to a scrap piece of 3/64" aluminum.

3. Punched a center hole. and then drilled a 3/4 inch hole. Placed the face plate that also is keyed and centered it so that the key is flush with the hole just cut.

3. Took model files and filed out the key by hand and then used a dremel with small grinding stone to grind to the scribe line around the rest.

4. Havent finished yet, but hand sanding and file working until the switch fits...Almost there!
