Finished up the basic routing of the magneto harnesses today in two sessions. The first session was to get the basic routing figured out—this included adding a couple of tangs to the bottom of the engine case to take the long upper wires down around the oil filter, both magnetos, etc. Hopefully this will keep everything out of the way for routine maintenance.
The second session was to install a bunch of Adel clamps in various places to keep the harnesses from contacting anything when the engine is operating. I made great use of a number of fluorescent zip ties to help keep everything organized—these will be removed and replaced with either high-temp zip ties, or possible nylon ties, depending on what makes the most sense. Nice to have this part at least figured out.
