More progress on the avionics and wiring installation as I installed the main grounding block and finished the forward avionics rack. Running wires must be done after everything else is in place, so it’s been a matter of organizing and installing components in order to know how to finish the wiring runs.
The grounding block is attached to the firewall by two bolts, one of which carries through and becomes the battery ground terminal. The pictures do a good job of showing the detail. Next up will be to install the fuse block, main current limiter, and essential bus diode.
The last thing I worked on was the avionics rack, which up to this point has been clecoed in place. Clean, prime and rivet…four bolts to attach the rack into the fuselage and it’s done. Hopefully this design will give me the space necessary for all of the remaining wires and components.
