Brief Description:  Fuselage construction

Two hours, two bolts. And I thought they'd just slip in after the fuselage skins were on. For some reason I elected to wait to install the two outermost AN3 bolts that go through the F-705 bulkhead at the point where the aft spar attaches. Not sure why I waited, but I found out that I was going to have to work to get them in place--apparently the fixture shifted just slightly when everything was riveted together. Added to that, I had never drilled out the 3/16" holes in the aft flanges of the F-715 ribs--therefore, I didn't know for sure if the holes lined up all the way through. I started by carefully (and slowly) drilling the holes in the F-715 ribs. Once I got those holes open, I used a couple of drift pins to ensure that everything was lined up...seemed ok, but I couldn't get the bolt in. After about 30 minutes of pondering, I finally rigged a 3/16" bit in my Foredom tool and ran the bit through to allow the bolts to slip in. They are now in place and torqued.
