Brief Description: Autopilot servo install and aileron attachment
Today I decided to start with the wings--hoping to get them mostly finished up. I'll come back at some point and rivet the lower skins on, but by and large, they are done! I spent the first hour or so installing the autopilot servo in the right wing...strangely enough, there are detailed drawings and instructions...just not for installation!! I ended up going with what looked right and everything fit perfectly.
After finishing the servo, I attached both the right and left ailerons in a somewhat permanent fashion. I know I'll have to pull them off again at some point, but for now, they are all attached and torqued as if we were flying tomorrow...I wish! The final step in the wings was to Proseal the conduit in place--I used an "old" tube of sealant that I got from Van's...it was expired, but for this job, I just need it to hold the conduit in place.
