The most frustrating day to date! I spent the entire session working on sealing various components in the left fuel tank including the fuel drain, fuel filler flange, all of the capacitance fuel sensing system, the fuel pickup fittings, and the fuel drain. I see now why the manual mixing and Ziploc bag method of sealant application is the most popular--I wasted half a tube of sealant and still have a long way to go before I can call it done. I will probably buy a small can of sealant for the smaller jobs--I can't see needing a full tube every time. If all goes as planned (and what ever does?), I will have only the inboard and outboard ribs and the baffle to go to be done with the left tank.
