Brief Description:  Lower wing skins

Today was the day that Dan and Ross had agreed to help rivet, so I came out a little early to get things ready to go. The first order of business was to remove the legs that the fuselage has been standing on since it moved to the hangar. The legs fit in the slots for the wings, so it was pretty important to open that space up to eventually put the wings on. We're getting closer to having an airplane...

Riveting the lower wing skins was harder than I expected it to be. This is how it went--put rivet in hole. Select bucking bar and insert arm, up to armpit, into wing rib lightening hole. Twist arm to reach rivet and find that bucking bar won't work. Extricate arm, select new bucking bar, and repeat process. And so it went.

Three hours and the hardest part was done. Hopefully we can have the rest of the inboard skin and the outboard done in the next session. Thanks again to Dan and Ross for your help!
