Big day!! Spent some time in the morning prepping the structure and reading the plans for the third (or fourth) time. Steve came over in the afternoon and we got the substructure riveted without any problems--a little advance study paid off. We received a surprise visit by two "quality control" inspectors, and after careful examination, our work was approved! Thanks for the help from all!!The wing went up on the stand (Jen actually helped here...I don't plan on that too often!), then I adjusted the fixture to ensure the wing had no twist, and finally clamped the wing in place. After cutting and drilling the wing walk doubler (under the close-set ribs in the foreground, I clecoed the skins in place and called it a day. Next step...match drilling and then my favorite--deburring and dimpling!
