Brief Description:  Elevator push rod

Today was a bit of an abbreviated session but I wanted to get out to the hangar and get a little done before some upcoming travel. Last session I installed the control stick support brackets, and noticed that there may be some slight interference with one of the wire bundles, so today I decided to focus on that area and see if there were any issues that couldn’t be resolved with an Adel clamp or two.

In order to move forward, I needed to put the elevator push rods back in the fuselage, and that was when I remembered that I hadn’t made the pushrod that runs from the stick to the aft cabin bellcrank. So…measure, cut, trim, mark, drill, prime the inside of the tube…that old routine. It had been awhile since I had drilled out a control pushrod, but my techniques have improved over time, so this one went pretty smoothly.

I still need to prime the exterior, but ran out of time so that will be next session. As close as I am getting to the finish line it is always tough to leave it for awhile…but if my luck holds I may be able to sneak out there next weekend and put a few hours in.
