Brief Description:  Main wire bundles

This weekend I continued to focus on getting the wiring in the forward fuselage complete so I would be ready to rivet the forward top skin in place before the end of July. I’m hoping to have a couple of months of warm weather left to do some canopy and fiberglass work, and I have to have the skin riveted before I can do anything with the windscreen.

Almost all of the wire has been run at this point in the process, so it’s now a matter of organizing and ensuring that everything will be secure and free from chafing. I spent a fair amount of time inside the fuselage adding two Adel clamps and four zip tie bases to route the wires out of the tunnel, up the firewall and then to their respective destinations. I decided to try the adhesive method that many have found successful for securing zip ties…I’m hopeful but not 100% certain it will actually work as well as I need it to. I can always add a couple of blind rivets if necessary, but would prefer to avoid drilling through the floor any more than I have to at this point.
