Brief Description:  Switch and circuit breaker installation

Today I spent a little time organizing the hangar and clearing off a little more space on my 4' x 8' primary work bench. It's amazing how easy it is to cover every flat surface...I have eight tables and workbenches...and would probably use more, which is not necessarily good. I have a bad tendency to leave things out in order to trigger the "I need to work on that" synapse, so an hour or so of organizing was a good start. I'll probably work on that again tomorrow.

The only major work on the project was double checking the order of the circuit breakers (several were in the wrong position), adding the flap switch, fabricating the bus bar for the essential bus, and installing the autopilot level button for the Vizion autopilot. That feature allows the pilot to push a button and have the autopilot level the aircraft—very useful in the event of spacial disorientation or a problem with the attitude system. I decided that since it was intended to be used in a moment of urgency, it would make sense to place it prominently in the center of the panel, under the autopilot.

The last thing I did before leaving was run one "test" wire to check for continuity between the essential bus and several of the switches. I'm still working on the wiring plan for behind the panel, so that will take some more work, but I should be fully into wiring the panel soon.
