No pictures from this session since almost everything I did was related to the electrical schematic that I've been working on the last few weeks. Basing my design off of the dual generator, one bus plan from the B & C Specialty Products website (Bob Nuckoll's design I believe), my plan is relatively simple...but complicated enough to require some significant time in the planning stages.
I had read that it would pay dividends to put everything down on paper, and now I understand why. Even by purchasing the avionics harness from Steinair, I only had about half the wiring plan complete (albeit the most difficult and expensive part). The other half is figuring out the theoretical relationship between all of the wires, shunts, circuit breakers and switches, and then the practical part of actually putting them in the aircraft. This involved multiple iterations of schematic work, looking at the various components, figuring out wiring paths, assembling a purchase list for all of the connectors, etc.
Lots of work still to go, but it's probably time to start pulling some wires.
