Brief Description:  Boost pump brackets

Today's focus turned back to the cabin and the Andair boost pump installation. Now that I have the cover for the assembly, it's time to get back into some plumbing. The boost pump is attached to two brackets that in turn are held in place between the floor stiffeners by screws on each bracket. My first attempt was not up to standards, so I scrapped those and made new ones.

The brackets need to be notched slightly on each end in order to clear the floor stiffeners, and with only about 5//8" to work with, there isn't much room to rivet the attach brackets to the support brackets. In the end, I decided to go with only one 1/8" rivet on each side. My logic is that when these are in place, there is no chance of them rotating, and since there is very little weight on them, a single -4 rivet is more than sufficient.

Next steps will be to place them in the cabin, add nut plates to attach the pump and then start plumbing.
