Brief Description: Prepped and primed forward fuselage parts
With the weather warming up into the mid-60s, this was the day I had planned to prime, so I started early by countersinking the forward longerons and stiffeners as well as the main longerons. After that was complete, I made sure everything was ready for priming by going back over a few parts with a file and scotchbrite pad, then cleaned everything with a mild detergent, and then ran an MEK-soaked rag over the parts. Since I'm using a Mar-Hyde self-etching primer, I decided to warm up the garage a little more to ensure adhesion, so I turned on the space heater for awhile. The priming went smoothly and once done, I re-inserted the main longerons into the fuselage and called it a day. Tomorrow I will start riveting the forward fuselage together!!
