Drilling and bending were the order of the day. I started by removing the right F-770 skin and drilling a piece of scrap angle to prepare for bending the aft portion of the skin where it blends into the lower aft fuselage. After drilling the angle, I attached a pair of ViseGrips and started bending. A couple of trial fits later, the skin fit and I was ready to reattach. Before I did that, I drilled the F-715 outboard seat rib to the floor skins and then put the F-770 skin back in place. The same process got the left skin done in short order and I moved on to the longerons.
After clamping the right longeron in place, I started at the aft end and began drilling. While I was using a new #40 drill bit and lots of Boehlube, I noticed that my cordless drill was wobbling a bit, causing some of the holes to be slightly elongated. At that point, I got my old Foredom tool out--a tool I've used for a lot of general purpose grinding/cutting--and inserted a #40 drill bit. The Foredom provides unlimited speed control, and also has the benefit of making a perfect hole...I drilled about half of the right longeron before calling it a day.
