Brief Description:  Center fuselage prep

Started the day by sanding all of the seat and baggage ribs, then washed them to get all the residue off. After running a rag soaked in laquer thinner over them to get the final residue off, I set up the paint aparatus and started mixing the primer. I will say at this point, I'm not sure why anyone thinks this part is fun...I don't. Suffice it to say that I had problems with the primer, the spray gun, and the compressor. Everything else worked fine.

I have been using the same can of primer for the entire project and today, I decided that its shelf life had expired. Actually, it still worked ok, but there was a lot of sludge in the bottom of the can, so I mixed up what was left and will start using spray cans for the last few fuselage pieces...oh well, it worked really well for most of the project!

After finally solving my problems and getting the parts primed, I attached the 24 platenuts on the seat ribs, and then attached the seatbelt brackets. This last step I had saved for this point and aside from some final trimming on the grinder, everything fit fine and went together as planned.

Tomorrow I will start to assemble the center section and dimple the skin.
