Brief Description: Aileron and flap prep
I decided to sneak another work session in this evening. I started by clecoing the aileron gap seals in place and match drilling #40 on top of the wing and #30 into the spar. After drilling, I deburred all holes, then dimpled the skins and gap seals on the skin side.
After that, I clecoed all of the aileron brackets in place, then match drilled to #30. I had to study the brackets and drawings a couple of times because neither inboard or outboard is completely intuitive, but they went in place without a hitch. After deburring, I set them aside and worked on the flap braces.
The flap braces require trimming one section to make them fit where the aft spar reinforcing bar is. A quick run through the band saw, file the edges smooth, hit it with the ScotchBrite wheel, and cleco it in place. After match drilling in a similar fashion to the aileron gap seal, I quit for the night.
