Brief Description:  Aft fuselage wiring

Short session devoted to securing wiring in the aft fuselage. I've been pondering how best to support the wires between the bulkheads, and finally decided to add one Adel clamp at the center point of the lower longerons. An e-mail to Van’s confirmed that drilling there would be acceptable, with the normal caveats to maintain edge distance—no problem there. After drilling the holes, I was a little concerned about the potential for chafing on the tail light wire as it ran through the grommets, so in a bit of overkill, I added some nylon sheathing for the entire length. Since I just found a local source for the stuff, I’m not worried about running out.

After securing the Adel clamps, I checked for any obvious areas that could potential interfere with the rudder cables or elevator push rod. None found, so I think I’m almost ready to close up the aft fuselage and move back towards the front to continue with wire terminations, fuel pump plumbing, etc, etc…
