Only one hangar session this weekend due to family commitments, so I decided to finish up as much of the primary wire bundles as I could. During my last session I noticed that the two bundles for the GMA 240 crossed each other in an awkward fashion, and made any sort of orderly bundle exit impossible. In order to fix this, I first had to remove the pilot’s headphone wires and “unsnake” them out of the bundle; then zip tie everything back in place before reinstalling the pins. By doing this I was also able to untangle the bundles and get the exits lined up in the correct locations to take up excess slack.
Once this was done, I realized that I still had some issues with excess movement that could potentially cause the bundle to come into contact with the throttle and mixture cables, so I added another Adel clamp in that location to ensure everything was supported. With that finished, I actually think the forward and aft bundles are pretty much complete, minus either zip ties or lacing cord to finish them off and make them look neat.
