Today was the day to get all of the small projects done on the right fuel tank. I started by fabricating the T-405 attach bracket. This process was made much easier by using the small bandsaw with a metal blade. Following this, I drilled the T-405 and T-410 brackets to the ribs, then drilled the fuel filler flange and drain flange to the skin. The next job was to cut the access panel using a flycutter in the drill press, then drilling the reinforcing flange to the skin. After this I attached all of the plate nuts to the rib and skin. Finally, I worked on the capacitance fuel sensing system by drilling the ribs for the sensing plates and attaching the plate nuts to the plates. A lot of progress...finally!
