I now have a spare master relay. For reasons I won’t go into in depth to avoid unnecessary embarrassment, I mistakenly declared my original master relay as inoperative and ordered a new one. In a “duh” moment during the week, I realized that I was not testing it properly, and when I brought it out today and tested it correctly, it worked perfectly. The good news is that many people recommend carrying a spare master relay to allow field replacement if the primary ever fails. So…I now have one.
A short session before leaving town for the day, I primarily focused on reattaching the master and start relays and figuring out a plan for mounting the switches that would allow me to remove the panel more easily if that is ever necessary.
