Back to work after the aforementioned family events and travel. As is my custom after a long layoff, I elected to work on something that didn't involve cutting, drilling or riveting to ensure I didn't do any permanent damage to something. I had been contemplating moving the magneto harness from above the engine mount to a position where it ran below the mount and attached directly to the engine case. I've read that the more direct contact with the engine, the less likely there will be differential vibration issues, so I unfastened several Adel clamps, rerouted the harness, and reattached everything. In the end I was glad I made the change because it looks better, and the harness is completely out of the way.
I also began the process of fabricating the mounts for the two G3X VFR GPS receivers and will need to attach some nutplates to the firewall to facilitate that installation. I finished up by starting to figure out how I'm going to attach the current limiter to the firewall.
