Brief Description:  Engine mount and engine bolts

A short session at the hangar that was primarily focused on getting the engine mount and engine bolts torqued and secured with cotter pins. When I first hung the engine, I was under the impression that it would be coming off multiple times as I fit various components, but I'm becoming increasingly convinced that it is on for good. It bothers me slightly that I have bolts attached that haven't been properly fastened...especially those involving the engine. I can always take the cotter pins out if I have to.

There is some conflicting guidance on the number of washers that are acceptable under the castle nuts on the engine mount and engine. One source limits the washers to no more than 1/8" total thickness, one says no more than two, and the plans state "washers as required". The preponderance of evidence suggests that two is the correct answer, so I will probably remove the upper engine bolts (one at a time) to put a washer under the bolt head...if nothing else, I will feel better.
