I'm finding out that a big part of firewall forward work falls into the "figure it out as you go along" category. The primary reason for this is that everything has to fit into a very tight space, and there is almost no way to plan for it all in advance--you just have to start fitting things and making it all work.
Lots of misc stuff that doesn't merit a lengthy narrative--attaching fittings to the oil and fuel sensor manifold, installing clamps, checking the fit of the rear baffle to determine oil cooler placement. Stuff.
