Brief Description:  Fiberglass work

Today I dove into fiberglass work without a clue as to what I was doing. I used some insulating foam covered with packing tape to provide a base for the first layup. My logic was that after the resin cured I could simply pry the foam out and have a good foundation for additional layers. It actually worked. The photos don't show the finished product, but I was able to come back after about 8 hours and put a second layer of cloth over the first. I did find that my cutting technique left a lot of loose fiber that got all mixed up in the resin and made for some pretty rough spots, so I'll need to refine that as I go along. All in all, not too bad for a first try.
