Brief Description:  Riveting steps

Today my brother Steve was in town and wanted to see the project so we headed out to see if we could get the steps in. When I last left the step assembly, I was trying to figure out how I was going to get the support block drilled through the rib properly. Turns out that I had actually drilled it correctly, I just needed to attach the block to the rib before I put the bolt through the step...a lot of head scratching and I finally figured that out. Once that was done we fired up the compressor and set rivets. Steve did a good job with the gun and I practiced my gymnastics moves to get in position to buck. Both sides went in and are done.

The next challenge came when we decided to see about riveting on the lower wing skins. More on that in the next post.
