Started prepping my firewall today. AC 43.13 states that either .125” fiberfrax or stainless steel sheet is acceptable for proper firewall protection. Given that fiberfrax is so light in weight and inexpensive, I’m planning to use both for maximum protection. My stainless sheet is .016” and will be placed over the fiberfrax and ply firewall.
