I got tired of looking for a place to put the parts that I am currently working on while I chase my tools all over the shop, so I constructed a simple shelf for the top of my tool cart where I can keep the parts I'm working on AND my tools handy. It slided from side to side so that the tools are easily accessable. Now I can park this next to the drill press, saw or wherever and keep things near by.
