I've burnt up enough metal blades on my wood band saw... tired of changing out and throwing away good quality blades. So I bought a horizontal/vertical 5"x7" Jet metal band saw today. It was a little more than I wanted to spend, but it is tuned up and ready to cut right out of the box. I checked it for squareness and the blade is square to the bed and the vise jaw. According to my 16" square, the bow also travels true and perpindicular to the bed, no sloppy side-to-side action as it downfeeds. The factory blade was junk, so I installed a Starret 10/14 bi-metal blade and put it to work.
I already have a couple of modifications that I would like to make, but this thing is a cutting machine!
