Well, after a couple weeks of cutting and sanding, I finally got to put glue and nails to the pieces and watch the first rib take shape. This task definitely requires patience, but hopefully I get a little more efficient with practice. I ended up having to mix 3 small batches of T-88 epoxy to make sure I wasn't being wasteful, and to make sure that I allowed enough working time. I think I've got the amount figured so I can mix just two batches next time... one for each side, which will allow about 45 minutes to assemble each side. Tonight the actual assembly took about 2 hours... those little 1/4" nails are difficult to work with, but I've already discovered a couple of techniques that help me to set and drive the nails a little better than I was able to do when first getting started. You may notice that the gusset is a little larger than the edges in Image 2... sanding to shape will occur prior to varnish.
