Brief Description: Corvair College #30 – Mexico, MO
With the engine on the stand, we were ready to breathe some life into her. With no one else ready for testing, I got to run for ~1 hour on the test stand witht ZDDP additive and Shell Rotella T 15W-40 motor oil. Cold oil pressure was ~38psi... once at operating temperature, oil pressure stabilized around 32psi. After the run, I drained the oil and found no significant particulates... it looked darkened from the additives, cam lubricants, etc., but no evidence of irregular wear or any other cause for concern.
